The Last Hope… The flames in the lighten braziers flickered weakly, radiating dim light that only lit the frigid, shadowy chamber partially; casting tall shadows across the weathered stone walls, and cloaking the nine cloaked figures seated in a row across a raised stone platform into even deeper darkness. A lonely wind sang its melancholy tune as it slipped through the chamber, rustling the cobwebs that clung stubbornly to the beaten walls, adding a fresh chill to the bitter atmosphere.  The torches on the walls seemed to shrink away from the small breeze, lowering the amount of light even further.
